The Institute for Writing and Thinking was established as a place where teachers could experience the writing process, learn writing strategies that support learning in all academic fields, and enjoy the pleasures of working in an ongoing community. The Institute offers teacher development workshops in writing and thinking both at Bard College and on-site at schools and colleges. Institute workshops model teaching through writing, foster strong teaching communities, and introduce participants to challenging and innovative texts along the way.
